Healthcare and the hygienic handling of drinking water, particularly in hospitals, homes for aged people and medical cabinets, represents a special challenge. Especially immunodeficient patients are particularly prone to infections associated with water.

In general drinking water contains a big number of microorganisms that do not represent any health risk for the consumer. However, the situation becomes problematic when a high concentration of microorganisms like legionella is forming in warm water lines with temperatures between 20 and 40 degrees Celsius so that it can lead to the most severe illnesses with fatal outcome.

Recent scientific studies confirm that the Legionella in the household water system can only be controlled by permanent disinfection with chlorine-oxygen compounds. The use of filter and UV cannot solve the problem.

The electrolysis process and disinfectant (NaClO) – sodium hypochlorite – used by CleanMed destroy the pathogens so effectively that even dangerous recontamination (called “retrograde ontogony”) will be prevented.

Function Description:

Green light:
Starts after shaking the CLEANSTIC and shows that it is ready

Blue light:
Signals that the CLEANSTIC can be put into a water glass or carafe and switches off automatically

Red light:
The batteries are empty or there is lacking salt in the water. The CLEANSTIC does not operate without the addition of a pinch of salt.
